Tropical storm Idalia strengthening as it moves toward Florida's gulf coast

Tropical Storm Idalia is expected to strengthen into a major hurricane as it approaches Florida's Gulf Coast, with landfall predicted for early Wednesday. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis warned residents to prepare and expect evacuation orders. The storm is expected to bring life-threatening storm surge and dangerous winds to the west coast of Florida and the Panhandle.
