Wildfires Burn Across Louisiana, Killing 2

Hundreds of wildfires raging throughout Louisiana have killed two people and destroyed an estimated 60,000 acres of land, according to state officials, who warned that dangerously dry conditions are anticipated to persist.

The iceberg A23a, which broke away from Antarctica's Filchner Ice Shelf in 1986, is finally drifting beyond Antarctic waters. It had been stuck in the Weddell Sea for many years but has now started moving propelled by wind and ocean currents. Measuring around 4,000 square kilometers, the iceberg is three times the size of New York City and twice the size of Greater London.
