Heavy rainfall in Kerala, IMD issues Orange alert for three districts

Heavy rains are ongoing in Kerala. A total of 11 people have lost their lives in the state. Parts of the state have received over 200 mm of rain in the last 24 hours. Places in major cities like Kochi and Thrissur are still waterlogged on Friday. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) today issued an Orange alert for three districts.

One of world's largest icebergs A23a drifting beyond Antarctic waters: Report

The iceberg A23a, which broke away from Antarctica's Filchner Ice Shelf in 1986, is finally drifting beyond Antarctic waters. It had been stuck in the Weddell Sea for many years but has now started moving propelled by wind and ocean currents. Measuring around 4,000 square kilometers, the iceberg is three times the size of New York City and twice the size of Greater London.
