Day temperatures reach all time high for August at 33.7 degrees

Mumbai hit an all-time high temperature of 33.7 degrees Celsius for August on Thursday. The IMD forecasts heavy rains for the weekend, possibly bringing relief. Break monsoon conditions and strong sunlight have driven up heat and humidity in recent days. The IMD also recorded above-normal temperatures at Colaba and Santacruz observatories.
