Wings Over Delhi: 221 bird species tracked in national capital; an year-long citizens-led project

The Delhi Bird Atlas identified 221 bird species across Delhi's diverse habitats in its first year, thanks to a citizen-led project involving over 200 volunteers. Achieving 100% coverage of mapping grids, the Atlas, supported by the Forest Department and conservation organizations, utilizes a seasonal, grid-based approach to map birds and share data via eBird.

The iceberg A23a, which broke away from Antarctica's Filchner Ice Shelf in 1986, is finally drifting beyond Antarctic waters. It had been stuck in the Weddell Sea for many years but has now started moving propelled by wind and ocean currents. Measuring around 4,000 square kilometers, the iceberg is three times the size of New York City and twice the size of Greater London.
