NASA-ISRO radar mission to provide dynamic view of forests, wetlands

The Nisar mission, a collaboration between Nasa and Isro, will use radar technology to study changes in Earth's forest and wetland ecosystems and their impact on the global carbon cycle and climate change. The mission will scan Earth's land and ice surfaces every 12 days, providing insights into the capture and release of carbon in forests and wetlands. The data collected will help researchers understand the effects of deforestation, degradation, and flooding on carbon emissions.
