Lizards, fish and other species are evolving with climate change, but not fast enough

Climate change threatens plants and animals as temperatures rise. Some species adapt, like dragonflies getting paler and mustard plants flowering earlier. However, studies show climate change is outpacing adaptation. Slow-maturing animals struggle to adapt in time. Small-bodied species can't adapt quickly enough to warmer climates. Cold-blooded species are vulnerable, but adaptation often results in smaller populations. Acclimation and migration are alternative strategies, but may not be sufficient.
