Pacific storm that unleashed coastal flooding pushes across Southern California into Arizona

A Pacific storm crossed the San Diego coast and pushed into desert areas, causing flooding northwest of Los Angeles. The storm reached San Diego late Thursday, bringing heavy rain and gusts of up to 55 mph. Rain also arrived in southwest Arizona. The storm unleashed extraordinary rainfall on coastal counties northwest of Los Angeles, surpassing monthly averages in Oxnard. Despite the heavy precipitation, there was little snow in Southern California's mountains.
