41% in India still rely on biomass for cooking: Report

According to a recent report, approximately 41% of the Indian population continues to rely on wood, cow dung, or other biomass as cooking fuel. This reliance results in an annual emission of around 340 million tonnes of carbon dioxide into the environment, constituting roughly 13% of India's greenhouse gas emissions.
