UN member states are meeting to plan how to tackle the world's environmental crises

The world's leading environmental decision-making body is meeting in Nairobi today to address crucial issues such as climate change, pollution, and loss of biodiversity. The United Nations Environment Assembly's sixth session brings together governments, civil society, scientists, and the private sector. This assembly aims to find collaborative solutions for global environmental crises. At the meeting, member states discuss a raft of draft resolutions on a range of issues that the assembly adopts upon consensus.
