Taiwan warns Typhoon Kong-rey 'rapidly' intensifying

Authorities in southeastern Taiwan have halted some ferry services and urged fishers to return to shore as Typhoon Kong-rey, with wind speeds of 155 km/h, approaches. Set to make landfall late Wednesday, the storm is rapidly intensifying, bringing high waves and heavy rain.
