Yamuna clean-up mandate: Amit Shah orders 20-day review cycle, 59 new STPs to be installed

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has set a strict 20-day review cycle for the Yamuna river's rejuvenation, demanding seamless coordination among Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. The plan includes installing 59 new sewage treatment plants by 2027 and tackling dairy waste through an MoU with NDDB. Desilting operations are nearing completion, with extracted silt to be reused.
